Dr. Francisco Javier del Castillo is committed to providing high-quality care and promoting total wellness for women in the Rio Grande Valley. Gynecology and Obstetrics is the specialty that deals with disease prevention and treatment of medical problems of women and childbearing. He has been in the practice of Gynecology and Obstetrics since completing his training at the Geisinger Medical Center from 1978 to 1982. Dr. del Castillo strives to work closely with his patients to develop a plan of care that is suitable to the individual needs of each patient. |
Dr. del Castillo has expertise in evaluating and treating a wide range of gynecological conditions through conservative medical treatment or surgical management. More recently, faced with the many challenges of treating patients he has added two significant health tools to his practice.
The first is acupuncture for both diseases of women and infertility as well as other problems that afflict both women and men such as hypertension and painful syndromes and the second is a medical weight loss program to help fight the epidemic of obesity that brings so many other health problems to our Valley patients. |

| Dr. del Castillo is assisted in his work by Vikki Presas, RN, AHNP. Ms. Presas has been a women’s nurse practitioner for the last 9 years. She has had extensive practice experience both as a nurse and as a nurse practitioner since her graduation as a registered nurse 14 years ago. |
